Prior to graduation, Kim was one of the first students to travel abroad with USF to the Soviet Union for intensive study in the Russian language at the Moscow Linguistic University in Moscow, Russia. It was that summer (and the reason the program was cut short by one week) that the Soviet Union faced an internal coup d’ etat and the communist regime was dismantled and the Soviet Union empire collapsed. Thereafter she branched into a position as in-house corporate legal counsel for Ozona Management Corporation, at which time she also performed intensive stock market research analysis for the local stock market investment company.
Yearning to get back into trial practice, Kim transferred to the firm of Buddy D. Ford, P.A. in Tampa, where she practiced for 4 years in the areas of family law, business litigation and consumer bankruptcy.
From 2007 to October, 2010, Kim was employed with The Solomon Law Group, P.A. in Tampa, where she became Partner, with a focus primarily in family law and creditor bankruptcy. In June, 2010, Kim became Board Certified in Marital and Family Law.
Kim continued to have a strong desire to relocate her practice closer to her home and family in Pinellas County where she has resided since graduation from law school. Kim and Ky litigated a family law case opposing each other, at the conclusion of which discussions took place which led to Kim’s affiliation with Koch & Hoffman, PA in October, 2010.
